The biggest mountain bike event in the World is coming to Fort William in the Scottish Highlands from 3-9 September 2007
Fort William is already an established venue on the UCI World Cup circuit, having hosted World Cup events since 2002. The World Championships will take this to a new level with over 750 of the World's top riders competing over a week long festival of mountain biking.

World Cup 2006
Yet again in 2006 the Mountain Bike World Cup in Fort William was a huge sucess. For the past 4 years Fort William has attracted riders and spectators from all over the world to enjoy the action from the three disciplines of Downhill, Cross Country and 4X.
The World Cup village appears a few days before the event filling the Nevis Range car park, and the scene is set for a weekend of speed and spectacle. Around 20,000 spectators over two days enjoy the concerts, activities and adrenaline fuelled riding from the 450+ international standard riders. Each since the event was first held in Fort William in 2002, the round has been notching up awards - 2004 saw the event retain the awards for the best 4X and Downhill of the 2004 world cup series.
